One of the many epithets of Seshat is Lady of the House of Records. Another name for the House or Hall of Records is Akashik Records. Seshat worked in the House alongside her consort Tehuti (Thoth), AKA the counter, the enumerator, the recorder of facts and figures, dates and times. Seshat knows where all the wealth is and who it really belongs to.
Seshat is the Matron of accountants, mathematicians, scientists, chemists, astrophysicists, alchemists, auditors, tax collectors, witches, and sorcerers.
Seshat, at times, laughs at the materially rich and other times scoffs at the poor; both often miss the true wealth of life, and lust after the illusion of it.
While it is true that numbers don’t lie, they may be used to cast illusions strong enough to manipulate the thoughts and actions of people and gods alike.
As the record keeper of the Netcher, she is a powerful sorceress who surrounds herself with her arcane and occult scrolls, books, and records. Seshat is a powerful weaver of spells and incantations, which are written and cast into her dark cauldron, which represents the womb of the cosmos.
Seshat is also a guardian of the gateway of numbers. This gateway is a two-sided door, which is both the way into and out of the physical reality we call the Universe. Seshat forever sings the verses of life and death, light and darkness. As such, her numeric vibration is the number 9, which makes her the singularity through which all reality is given birth and the eternal void, to which all must one day return.
Seshat stands at the Doorway to Life; There she records all souls as they are borne into Life. At Death’s Doorway, she counts the souls of the departed as they enter the Afterlife. She may be found at the gateways of both Heaven and Hell, counting those who leave and all who enter.
She is the cosmic tax assessor; according to her records, and according to Ma’at, everyone pays their due and gets what’s coming to them.
Seshat may be invoked for help with money, math, business plans, the sciences, school work, writing spells, research, solving mysteries, and breaking physical and spiritual barriers.
